Valve islands are commonly used on machine installations to reduce assembly and downtime and provide easier fault diagnosis. IMI Precision has a host of ranges available. Here we list a number of spare elements for both our VM and VS series of islands. VM has over 14,000,000 combinations of island available. VS fully conforms to ISO15407-2 and is also available featuring our glandless spool technology
Offering greater flexibility than inline systems, sub-base valves enable the user to replace valves quickly and easily when required without disturbing pipework systems. IMI Precision offers ranges conforming to ISO 15407-1, VDMA 24563 and 24345. Soft seal and glandless versions cover high flow and extended life options. Our SXE and SXP range is widely used in the automotive sector where its glandless spool design reduces planned maintenance to a minimum.
In line valves are probably the most common type of valve used in automation systems. Offering best performance at a cost effective price, our V50 and V60 family cover most requirements and can be further extended using our simple manifold base systems. Other manifold systems are available for the simple assembly and connection of solenoid valves when used in larger, more complex systems.
When it comes to safety, nothing can be left to chance. That is why IMI Precision is so highly valued in this field - our XSz series of safety valves fully comply with the requirements of DIN ISO13849-1 and also carry OSHA, BG and CSA approvals. Manual or mechanical valves are often used in more traditional installations. Our SuperX range were originally known as an Enots product and have been setting the standard for around 50 years. Smart, compact manual operators can be fitted into control panels, and our mechanical heads are strong and robust for industrial use. More recently, moulded composite bodies have been made available some with integrated push in fittings. These save weight and overall size - up to a 20% saving. Proportional valves are sometimes referred to as I/P or E/P convertors. They convert a variable current or voltage signal into a proportional compressed air output. IMI Precision has assembled a wide range of valve types - from the miniature VP12 through our VP50 and VP51 to more specialised options including intrinsically safe and ATEX versions.
Process can be defined as the transfer of fluid around a system - that fluid could be compressed air, but also other substances including acids, alkalines, fuel, gas or steam. Our process valve range under the Buschjost brand covers virtually all process requirements. Process valves can be electrically or pilot operated handling clean and contaminated fluids. Body and seal materials can be selected to suit the application. NAMUR valves can be fitted to rotary actuators or valves having the standard interface.
Very rarely do pneumatic actuators get asked to operate at top speed. More likely is the need to control the speed easily and effectively. There are a number of ways to do that, and this section lists those options, easily selectable for best results.
